Valorization of naturally-derived molecules through an integrated in silico, in vitro, and in vivo approach
Using an integrated approach, we conduct studies aimed at valorizing bioactive molecules derived from plant matrices, microorganisms (probiotics) or their metabolites (postbiotics) for applications in medicine, nutraceuticals, and cosmetics. Our methodology combines in silico methods with in vitro and in vivo experimental models, thus allowing the characterization of natural bioactive molecules in terms of their impact on biological processes, pharmacological properties, mechanisms of action, and safety.
